Visit to a university in Madrid could contribute to the development of cooperation
Ondřej Kabot from the ENET Centre, a part of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies at VSB-TUO, gathered the experience of foreign colleagues in research on partial discharges in the energy sector during his week-long visit to Carlos III University of Madrid. In the future, the cooperation could lead to a joint research project or publication.

I already knew that my colleagues from Charles III University of Madrid are working on the issue of partial discharges. My task was to learn about their procedures and methods and to share with them the experience and results we have achieved in our research centre. The goal is to achieve better results through mutual cooperation and to create a joint publication or develop another form of cooperation in the future,” said Kabot, who completed his stay abroad as part of the Doctoral Grant Competition.

In addition to expanding his knowledge in the field, he welcomed the opportunity to get to know the background of a foreign university. “It was an interesting insight into how a university works elsewhere, what kind of laboratories they have or what kind of conditions the students have and so on,” added the PhD student and junior researcher at the ENET Centre.

The Doctoral Grant Competition (DGS) is announced to support scientific research projects solved by students of doctoral study programmes at VSB-TUO in the full-time form of study.
