The graduate website at Alumni Network at VSB ‒ Technical University of Ostrava is open to all graduates across all fields of study and specialisations, regardless of age or year of graduation. A graduate of the VSB ‒ Technical University of Ostrava is a person who has completed Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral study programme Current university students, MBA program participants, lifelong learning students, Erasmus students, trainees, former employees can register as well.

Yes, definitely. Membership is also open to graduates who still have student status. After completing higher education levels, simply update your personal profile information. The Benefits of membership can then be used immediately.

No, you are not. Registration for the graduate website Alumni Network at VSB ‒ Technical University of Ostrava is based on free will to remain in touch with the university and draw benefits that arise from the membership. 

Just like when you are sharing your new telephone number, email address or corespondence address it is important to keep your details up to date in our database.

Up to date contacts are very important as electronic contact details are used to communicate, to inform you about current and upcoming events or opportunities to connect with your classmates or colleagues. Outdated or incomplete addresses will prevent you from the opportunity to read the regular magazine of VSB ‒ Technical University of Ostrava and to receive invitations to meetings and other events.

Entitlement for the Graduate Card is not automatic. It is necessary to be a registered member of the graduate website Alumni Network at VSB ‒ Technical University of Ostrava, however, you still need to apply here. The Graduate Card offers a range of interesting benefits provided by the university, its partners, and commercial entities throughout the Czech Republic. The price of the card is 299 CZK.

A free graduate card can only be gotten by those students who have received their red (honours) diploma for their excellent study results. This has been entitled to all graduates from VSB-TUO since 2016. A prerequisite is being registered in the graduate network and applying for the graduate card within six months after graduation (after the state exam). After this period, the entitlement to a free graduate card expires. After logging in, the system automatically recognizes whether you are entitled to a free card or not. Based on this criterion, you will be offered an opportunity to obtain your graduate card.

Yes, since March 2017 you have the option to join the network. When registering, please use the second option.

Unfortunately, not. The graduate card belongs to benefits that can only be used by holders of a bachelor, master or doctoral degree from VSB ‒ Technical University of Ostrava.

License expiration does not indicate the expiry of the card! You have two options to continue using the card:

• For 200 CZK, including postage, you can renew your license using this link https://www.isic.cz/en/cards/alive-card/ and thus you can continue to use over 400 discounts throughout the Czech Republic,
• Or you can continue to use the Card without the Alive licence within the partnerships and university benefits, without paying anything for its extension.
