The international summer school on the topic "Research & Innovation in the Geothermal energy" is the result of cooperation between VŠB-TUO, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and University of Vaasa. Experts from foreign partner institutions will lecture VŠB-TUO doctoral students on the basics of academic writing, researching professional literature, and working with selected portals. The lectures will also be devoted to the field of geothermal energy. It will focus on current research and innovation in this area. In addition to experts from the aforementioned institutions, experts from Ostrava companies will also participate in the lectures.
A total of 19 students from the Czech Republic, Italy, Nepal, France, India and Slovakia participate in the summer school.
The GeoUS project is financed by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program (Grant Agreement 856670). Researchers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Mining and Geology work together on the GeoUS project.
