4 research objectives, 1 goal. The prestigious MATUR project aims to reduce the energy intensity of industrial production
To succeed in challenge like this, we cannot limit ourselves to energy transformation and sustainability. It is equally important to devise approaches and materials to ensure that the energy intensity of industry is reduced, where materials engineering plays a key role.

In the field of technology and characterization of nanomaterials and nanocomposites, the project involves scientists from the CEET Nanotechnology Centre headed by the director Prof. Ing. Gražyna Simha Martynková, Ph.D. and the activity team of Ing. Karla Čech Barabaszová Ph.D. Paed.IGIP and Ing. Lukáš Halagačka, Ph.D.

A very topical issue in the field of composites of materials for energy and environmental applications is the research of nanofibers, where the effect of nanocomposites is expected to have a significant impact on improving the operational parameters and increasing the safety and efficiency of energy conversion.

As Prof. Martynková places a high emphasis on individuality of everyone, cooperation in the team and maintaining a healthy environment for the implementation of ideas, before the actual start of the work on the project, she participated in an exit meeting held in Krakow, where the project participants had the opportunity to meet the excellent scientist Prof. dr hab. inż. Urszula Stachewicz (DSc, PhD, MSc), professor of materials science from the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and enrich themselves with valuable know-how that can be applied in the MATUR project.
