A full-day evaluation workshop of the existing cooperation between several departments of Valeo and FEECS or FMST VSB-TUO took place. The delegation was led by Leoš Dvořák, General Director of Valeo R&D Centre in Prague, who has long supported cooperation between the application and academic spheres. The German part of the delegation was led by Ralf Schneider, Head of Active Safety and Automated Control at Valeo Germany. The FEECS was represented by Dean Jan Platoš, Vice Dean for Cooperation with Industry and Head of Mobility Lab Petr Šimoník and a large team of Mobility Lab staff and students. The FMST was represented by Michal Weisz, head of the StudentCar Lab, designer Rostislav Zapletal and other employees of this department.
The programme included a presentation of the University's activities related to the car industry (in particular the SMARAGD strategy, the REFRESH project and the CPIT-TL3 testbed activities), a visit to the Student Car Lab (FMST) and a tour of the Mobility Lab itself (FEECS).
Practical demonstrations of the systems under development were presented and the group also discussed new research directions and future collaborations. This deepened an already firmly established partnershi
