Participants had a unique opportunity to hear various approaches to promoting research, which are crucial for achieving its maximum impact. Professor Seyedali Mirjalili, founder of the Center for Research and Optimization of Artificial Intelligence (established in 2019) and current professor of artificial intelligence at Torrens University Australia, shared his insights and experiences in this field.
Prof. Mirjalili is internationally recognized for his advances in optimization and swarm intelligence. He created the first set of algorithms in the field of synthetic intelligence and a systematic design framework for benchmarking and designing computationally efficient robust optimization algorithms. With over 500 publications, more than 80,000 citations, and an H-index of 95, he is one of the most cited scientists in the world. Since 2019, he has been listed three times among the top 1% highly cited researchers and has been named one of the most influential researchers by Web of Science. In 2021, the Australian newspaper The Australian named him the top scientist in Australia in three fields: Artificial Intelligence, Evolutionary Computation, and Fuzzy Systems.
Other Activities of Professor Mirjalili:
Prof. Mirjalili is also a senior member of IEEE and an associate editor of several prestigious AI journals, including Neurocomputing, Applied Soft Computing, Advances in Engineering Software, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Healthcare Analytics, Applied Intelligence, and IEEE Access. His research interests include optimization, swarm intelligence, evolutionary algorithms, and machine learning.
