Applied Doctoral Studies at European Universities

The "PhD Retreat" is a work package in a boost project developed at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, which focuses on capacity building for EU research among PhD students.

This year's event will take place from 28 October to 01 November 2024.

The PhD retreat consists of individual modules covering the following topics:

• Workshops: Scientific Methods and "Fundamentals": e.g.: Data Management, Peer Review Publication etc.
• Networking
• Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
• Transfer and Entrepreneurship: Potential for spin-offs/entrepreneurship based on own research
• Science Communication: Clear, convincing and effective presentation of own research, tailored to the needs of the target groups (incl. public relations: press release, social media etc.).
