VSB-TUO and the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform set to feature at EXPO REAL in Munich

Key participants in the programme will also include representatives from the City of Ostrava, the Moravian-Silesian Region and the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre. Discussion topics will focus on artificial intelligence and its use in research, and innovative, eco-friendly methods for heating buildings.

“The aim of FIP's participation at EXPO REAL is not only to share expertise but also to engage in meaningful exchanges with other major players in the market. The discussion on AI and eco-friendly heating methods for buildings will reflect the latest trends and the growing demand for sustainability and technological advancement. These factors are expected to significantly influence the future development of the real estate market,” explained Vladislav Kolarik, Deputy Director of FIP-AI@VSB-TUO.

The moderated debate will outline the steps the Moravian-Silesian Region is taking to become a home to globally competitive companies. In addition to the University’s representatives, Adéla Hradilová, Director of the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre, will also take part.

Igor Ivan emphasised the Region’s potential for investors: “The Moravian-Silesian Region holds great promise for investors, also thanks to VSB-TUO. We are preparing high-quality graduates and developing cutting-edge technologies for modern energy solutions, environmental applications, and Industry 4.0. Through the REFRESH project, funded by the Operational Programme Just Transition, top scientists from both the Czech Republic and abroad are working with companies to create a new innovation ecosystem.”

In another panel, Igor Ivan and other regional leaders will discuss strategies for retaining young talent in the Moravian-Silesian Region, a key focus of the REFRESH project.

EXPO REAL, Europe’s largest real estate and investment fair, has been held annually at Messe München since 1998. This highly regarded B2B trade fair attracts experts from all over the world to explore the latest trends and innovations in real estate and investment.
