Introducing U!REKA partners: Politécnico de Lisboa

IPL,  or Politécnico de Lisboa, is located in the metropolitan area of Lisbon. The university has a long history in higher education and is made up of eight schools:

- School of Communication and Media Studies

- School of Dance

- Lisbon School of Education

- Lisbon School of Music

- Lisbon Theatre and Film School

- Lisbon School of Health Technology

- Lisbon Accounting and Business School

- Lisbon School of Engineering

IPL for students

IPL is so far very popular Erasmus+ destination for our staff. During the academic year 2023/2024, 19 members of our staff visited IPL, 3 staff members went as part of a blended intensive programme. However, the university also has a lot to offer to students, especially students from the Faculty of Economics. We believe that the number of students going to Portugal will gradually increase. You can already look forward to interviews with members of the staff who visited IPL.

IPL for staff, scientists and researchers

IPL staff are also involved in research, development, innovation and artistic creation. The university boasts a high number of lecturers who help to reach its strategic goals. IPL achieves exceptional results in terms of scientific work each year, whether this relates to the number of projects, publications, citations, scientific reviews or theses and dissertations.

And when you decide to go to IPL for a business trip or studies abroad, you can't miss a tour of Lisbon. It was once the centre of the world's colonial empire and also the city from where sailors set sail on voyages of discovery. Today, it's a cosmopolitan metropolis with plenty of historical sites you definitely need to see, plus the Atlantic Ocean within easy reach.
