The centenary of the birth of the graphic artist and painter Vladimír Boudník will be commemorated by a new exhibition in the FEIKA Gallery at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Economics and Technology. The exhibition features works by pupils of AVE ART Ostrava who were inspired by Boudník's work.

Vladimír Boudník was the founder of abstract art, he created a number of graphic sheets in the technique of structural graphics, active graphics and magnetic graphics. The AVE ART Ostrava Secondary School of Art will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth with the exhibition Boudník's. "Pupils worked with controlled chance using their own imagination and abstract creations. The exhibition will also feature thematic outputs from computer graphics, combining graphic and metalwork. Boudník also inspired clothing designer Jan Černý in designing a collection of clothing for our Olympic athletes for the Paris Olympics, which won international acclaim," said director Jaroslav Prokop.

The opening of the exhibition in the FEIKA Gallery will take place on 7 November 2024 at 16.00. The exhibition will run until the end of the year.
