Introducing U!REKA partners: Metropolia University of Applied Sciences

The series of articles on U!REKA partners continues. This time the editors of the university magazine take you to the north of Europe, to Helsinki, Finland, one of the partners of the U!REKA alliance of European universities.

Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland's largest university of applied sciences, educates future professionals in business, culture, healthcare and social services and technology. It aims to be a bold reformer of expertise and an active builder of a sustainable future.

Metropolia for students

Over 17,000 students study at Metropolia, the school offers 80 study programmes, 19 of which are in English. Applicants can choose from fields such as biomedicine, biotechnology and chemical engineering, electronics, energy and environmental technology, information technology or engineering and business.

Metropolia for scientists and researchers

In addition to education, the mission of Metropolia University of Applied Sicences is also to promote and support the development of the Helsinki metropolitan area and Finnish society through research, development and innovative solutions. The university focuses on culture, business, healthcare, social sciences and technology.

Metropolia for life

Metropolia is located in the capital of Finland, Helsinki, which consists of one large peninsula and more than 300 islands. Helsinki is a combination of urbanity and nature and according to surveys, it is also the happiest city in the world (for the seventh time).
