This event brings together experts from 26 European countries with the common goal of creating an international and interdisciplinary network dedicated to promoting clean indoor air for a healthy and energy-efficient environment across Europe.
One of the two representatives of the Czech Republic in this project is our colleague Prof. Kamila Kočí, head of the research group Heterogeneous Photocatalysis, who will support the implementation of this ambitious initiative with her professional contribution.
"The Net4CleanAir project responds to the fact that indoor air quality is often worse than outdoor air quality, which has negative impacts on people's health, comfort and productivity. While identifying and eliminating sources of pollution along with ventilation is the ideal way to go, it is not always possible to use these methods effectively, especially in areas with outdoor pollution or in buildings with high energy efficiency requirements," explains Prof. Koci of the project's mission. "Net4CleanAir therefore brings together experts and stakeholders to support the development, standardisation and regulation of indoor air cleaning technologies, to raise public awareness and promote healthy and energy-efficient environments across Europe," he adds.
