AI, Modern Industry, and Collaboration to Take Centre Stage at the Czech-German Meeting
Academics and representatives from the commercial sector in the Czech Republic and Germany will come together at the second annual Czech-German Business Meeting, set to take place on 10 April at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO). The event is organised by the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform at VSB-TUO (FIP-AI@VSB-TUO) with the aim of fostering international collaboration and innovation in industry and modern technologies. Interested participants can register until 4 April.

"I am pleased that this event is becoming a tradition. Last year, more than 30 companies participated, including industry leaders. For this year’s edition, we have chosen a highly relevant topic: Industry Transformation through Intelligent Manufacturing and Energy Solutions. Top experts will discuss how artificial intelligence and innovation are reshaping materials, manufacturing processes, and energy solutions. Besides sharing knowledge, I see great value in networking opportunities and potential collaborations for the future," said Dieter Weise, Deputy Director of FIP-AI@VSB-TUO and a scientist at the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (Fraunhofer IWU).

Academics and industry professionals will present the latest advancements in modern manufacturing processes, including forming and pressing technologies, customised product adaptation, sensor technologies, AI-driven production processes, hydrogen technologies, and energy systems—particularly for energy flow management and storage. The programme will feature researchers from universities, research institutes, and companies such as BRUDERER AG, FIBRO GmbH, Raziol Zibulla & Sohn GmbH, and TRsystems GmbH.
