Writefull – a tool for language correction of professional texts written in English

Central Library of VSB-TUO has accepted the offer from Albertina icome Prague and is going to provide 1-month trial access to Writefull for all students as well as academic and research staff interested in using it.

 Writefull is different from other similar tools because it uses language models based on artificial intelligence, and continuously “learns” from millions of published professional articles. Writefull checks grammar, use of technical terminology, punctuation, spelling as well as stylistics.

In order to use it, you need to install the Writefull for Word add-in to MS Word. Below you will find installation and user guides. You can download the add-in on this page, or get it directly through Word by selecting the Insert tab / Get Add-ins / Store. Those interested ones can also sign up here for the introductory webinar “Writefull: vypilujte své odborné texty v angličtině [Writefull: polish up your professional texts in English]” that will take place on November 2, 2020 from 3 pm and will be presented by the authors themselves (the webinar will be held in English).​
