VSB-TUO graduates can newly use Alumni benefit program for free

As VSB-TUO graduates you may use Graduate card, which offers you discounts and benefits at the university and with our partners, and also Alive benefits. Plastic card or just prolonging the Alive license is charged. From October 2023 we have news for our graduates – a chance to download Alive app to their mobile phones and use Alumni benefit program for free. App is sufficient for most university and partner benefits, graduates apply for a plastic card only if they are interested in access to university library, printing or scanning via SafeQ, eating in canteens or using WIFI Eduroam network.

So how to proceed?

I am a graduate and I have the Graduate card:

1.      If you are interested in using Alive benefits apply for the digital card after logging in to your Alumni profile at the latest after the license has expired. This is for free and is formally set to expire at the end of the calendar year from the date of issue, but will always automatically renew for another year during your Alumni membership.

2.      If you are not interested in using Alive benefits, you can still identify yourself at the university or at our partners with the plastic card. It is important to have a valid account in Alumni network. If your account expires, your card will be blocked and you will not be able to go to library, for example. And that would be a shame. 

I am a graduate and I don´t have the Graduate card:

1.      Register or log in to the Alumni network

2.      After log in to your account apply for the Graduate card

3.      Do you want to visit Central Library VSB-TUO for free, print and scan via SafeQ or eat in university canteens? Apply for the plastic card. It costs 150 CZK and you must pick up the card in the Card center VSB-TUO after submitting any other ID document. If you are a red diploma graduate, you will receive this plastic card free of charge when you apply within six months after graduation. The Card is valid for as long as your account in the Alumni network is valid. It is sufficient to log in to your account or after 3 years upon an e-mail request check and confirm your personal data. The validity of the card is unlimited.

4. Do you want to use partner benefits, Alive benefits or university benefits without plastic card? Apply for the digital card, which is for free. Its validity is connected to the validity of your account in the Alumni network.

5.    Of course, you can have both digital and plastic card.
