Our Centre was represented by three members:
Jiří Ryšavý presented “3D Printed Neutralization Modules for Gas Boiler Condensate: A Scalable Approach to pH Control” – focusing on neutralisation of acidic condensate from methane combustion using scalable modular solutions.
Jakub Čespiva introduced the work “Evaluation of the Suitability of Defined SRF in Mixture with Wood and as a Standalone Fuel for Gasification Processes” – addressing the potential of solid recovered fuels in future energy systems.
Milan Dej contributed with “The Ash Fusibility of Waste Biomass from the Agricultural Industry” – exploring how waste biomass behaves during thermal treatment processes.
Additionally, Jiří Ryšavý and Jakub Čespiva had the honour to chair a session focused on Plastics & Bioplastics / Characterisation of Waste Residues / Hazardous Waste, facilitating discussion among experts from around the globe.
A heartfelt thank you to the organisers from the National Technical University of Athens, especially Dr. Konstantinos Moustakas and Prof. Maria Loizidou, for orchestrating such a vibrant and impactful event.
Events like this remind us: the global waste problem cannot be solved in isolation. Only through collaborative innovation, scientific exchange, and bold ideas can we design sustainable pathways for a cleaner, circular future.
